Entering darkness
I cannot find.
I need to get somewhere and don't want to get left behind.
Life is as hectic as its going to get
Why aren't I like all the others?
Why can't I get there yet?
This isn't how its supposed to go.
How will I get there?
When will I know.
I need to see where my life will be
In ten years will I ever get past my problems that I face now that are before me.
My life is turning in circles
When will it end.
Will it ever stop
And when I get there will I still have a friend,
I cannot sit here and wait till life passes me by,
I never get to answers
All I can think of is why.
I don't askI just know its there.
I can;t think about it to long because I wonder how bad do I care.
All I know is I must make it toward something.
I must make it somewhere.
I'm just not sure how to get there.

You May be Different
You may be different
You may be different
I don’t care
There isn’t another like you anywhere.
You may walk differently.
It may not be fair.
I can tell you may be shy
You might not want to tell me.
And I won’t ask why.
If I look at you and question your ways
Things weren’t always perfect growing up in my days.
There were a lot of stares and people wanting to know why
I didn’t want to tell them
It would make me cry.
Sometimes it would draw a tear
I just wanted it to be clear.
I would never ask and never tell.
Some people knew me too well.
If I look upon you and see that you are different.
I’ll just smile and say that’s how we all are.
We are not perfect and I’m not one to judge.
I like everyone.
I’ll just learn by observing.
That’s how I learn best.
I’ll just ask God to explain all the rest.
He tells me what I need to know.
He helps me and I start to grow.
Some things I don’t need explained to me.
I just realize that’s how things are.
That’s how they will be.
That is how I see the world by looking not asking.
And I know God will help me.
He knows this world isn’t perfect and he sees us in a different light.
He sees us not perfect and knows life can sometimes be not right.
There are too many people to judge quickly and not give you a chance
That’s not what I’ve become.
I look beyond differences I don’t care.
You may be different
I want to get to know you.
You are a friend.

The Way I Look at You
The Way I Look At You
The way I look at you might be different
I don’t care what you are
I don’t care how you look
I don’t care how you may appear.
I want to see how different you are
I just want it to be clear.
I care what’s on the inside.
I look at your inside more than your out
I look at you and wonder what your all about.
It doesn’t matter to me how you are
I think everyone has something to share.
I need you to know how we all have to be aware.
Because we all can learn from other people,
And learning makes us all grow,
That’s what I was told and now I know.
Its what I learned to be kind to others
and see what they can teach me.
Someone gave me the knowledge to reach me.
I need to know all people are different.
I was given the gift to like all people no matter who they are
Or how they may be.
In this world I just wanted them to be friends with me.
I was unclear before and now I’m not.
I like all people I don’t care what they may be.
I look inside and beyond and that’s about me.

For the new mommy
For The New Mommy
I will be cute when you see me.
I will be cuddly too.
But it is important that you don't panic when you might not know what to do.
Because I don't come with instructions.
Sometimes you might throw your hands up in the air
You will have to teach me how to be giving when I just don't want to share.
Thanks for all those times you took me to the park
And tucked me in when I was afraid of the dark.
During this time I won't yet have the skills to run.
My life is still new and only just begun.
When I start crawling I will move quite slow
Then there will be no way of knowing which way I might go.
Thanks for pushing me on the swing
During this time I won't yet be walking, but I will get into everything.
I will enjoy playing with my food as all babies soon will
There will also be times when I just won't want to sit still.
You might get tired watching me.
I will keep you up all night.I need a little reassurance to tell me everything is alright.
Because everything is new to me
At night you will always know the right things to say
Because It might be hard to make all the monsters go away.
When life isn't perfect please don't leave me and sob
Because I know you are new at this and just the right person for this job.
You will have to baby proof the house
Because I will need to go exploring and will be as quiet as a mouse
Thankfully, you've read stories that caught my attention and weren't too long.
And you made me eat all my vegetables to help me grow up big and strong.
You showed me how to play well with others
You taught me all of my shapes and all of my colors.
You were always patient with me and things were never rushed
You didn't get that mad when you found out your items were flushed.
When I get older I will enjoy throwing things on the floor.
And then the time will come when time outs just won't work anymore.
You are comforting when I may take a fall.
You were there to teach me how to throw a ball.
When I get bigger I will jump and play
And you will be proud of the person I turned out to be one day.
Thanks for always teaching me things that only a mother would know.
And then leading me down a path that only you think is the right wayfor me to go.
It may seem like you don't know what to do
But one day you'll turn around to find I've grown up to be exactly like you.
I need direction in my life and I need to know where you stand.
I know you hold the key in helping me understand.
So even if you might not know what to do
Thanks for being my mommy because I dearly love
you.

The Truth of Me
The Truth of Me
How can this be?
Nobody in this world knows what its like to be me.
Life is hard
I might want a break.
It will help me keep the path I need to take.
How will I know
If I'm going the right direction
What chances in life am I going to make
What is the right road in life for me to take.
How will I know.
It is not very clear
I need you by my side when ever I get there.
I want to make a good impression
Please help me make the right decision
H0w can I. I'm not supposed to look back
Please help me stay on the right track.

Better Than
Better than
There is a hill in life that I must climb.
I will never look back
I just won't have time.
To look back on my regrets
I don't want to do wrong
I love this life and only want to belong.
I must think about my future
Its staring me in the face
But no one will ever take my place.

The Big Changes
The world is changing
All the colors
But Im not complaining.
Everything is getting different.
I'm growing and other people are growing.
It might be not fair
I can just be floating in the wind or Moving with the sky.
I will not just sit here
And wait till life passes me by.
I need to do things
I have a plan.
Does it include you?
Im not sure.
I need to know
As I look toward the sky.
Maybe an answer will appear.
Maybe somehow things will become clear.
But you might be leaving.
Leaving my life for now.
Will you show up again?
I dont quite know.
What does it matter?
And where will you go?
A friend is a friend wherever you go.
Growing up in a world that is moving too slow.
Sometimes I want to speed it up.
Sometimes I want to make it slow down
But then again I thought you’d always be around.
