Getting there

I have just graduated from Cal State San Marcos. I never thought I would make it this far. It has been quite a journey. I loved the ride but I'd get so frustrated with why I was so slow in getting there. I am so grateful to share it with all of my friends. I love them so much. I've had so many obstacles in my life. I've had meningitis and that is one of the hugest obstacle in the world that I've had to tackle. I don't know what my life would have been like if I didn't have meningitis but it has made me stronger and I am a better person because of it.

I agree with you 100%. You are one of the strongest people I know. Congrats for sticking to it and making it through school. 99.9% of the people out there would have given up, but not you. Your an inspiration to many, including myself.

I'm SO proud of you for graduating Denise. It really doesn't matter how long it took because, a lot of people can't even get through a year. My Dad has always told me something and it has always helped me when I feel like I can't accomplish something, "If it was easy, everybody would be doing it." So, stay strong sista! :)

Thank you Natalie and Brenna. I think I look at others for inspiration. I never thought as myself to inspire others. I don't really like talking about meningitis. I rarely do. But I think because of that, its made me stronger. I look at others and tell myself I can, even though I really can't or shouldn't be. I don't like anyone telling me I can't. It only makes me want to even more than I did. Its just the way I am. I want to be like everyone else.
