You May be Different

You may be different

You may be different
I don’t care
There isn’t another like you anywhere.
You may walk differently.
It may not be fair.
I can tell you may be shy
You might not want to tell me.
And I won’t ask why.
If I look at you and question your ways
Things weren’t always perfect growing up in my days.
There were a lot of stares and people wanting to know why
I didn’t want to tell them
It would make me cry.
Sometimes it would draw a tear
I just wanted it to be clear.
I would never ask and never tell.
Some people knew me too well.
If I look upon you and see that you are different.
I’ll just smile and say that’s how we all are.
We are not perfect and I’m not one to judge.
I like everyone.
I’ll just learn by observing.
That’s how I learn best.
I’ll just ask God to explain all the rest.
He tells me what I need to know.
He helps me and I start to grow.
Some things I don’t need explained to me.
I just realize that’s how things are.
That’s how they will be.
That is how I see the world by looking not asking.
And I know God will help me.
He knows this world isn’t perfect and he sees us in a different light.
He sees us not perfect and knows life can sometimes be not right.
There are too many people to judge quickly and not give you a chance
That’s not what I’ve become.
I look beyond differences I don’t care.
You may be different
I want to get to know you.
You are a friend.
